Modern Icons, Rooted in Italian Craft
A Shoe With Soul
The Friulana dates back to the 1800s in Friuli, our home in Northeast Italy. Originally handmade for village celebrations, these soft-soled Italian slippers gained quiet fame - first among Venetian gondoliers, then Italy’s aristocracy.
Today, our Friulane shoes for women are still made in Friuli, stitched by skilled artisans using traditional techniques passed down through generations. Each pair takes about 3-5 hours to make by hand - no machines, no shortcuts, just enduring Italian craftsmanship.
This isn’t just footwear. It’s heritage with intent - reimagined for how we live now.
Centuries of craft, stitched into every step. Discover the story behind our signature Friulana.

Our Story
A Shared Heritage, A New Chapter
We’re Giulia and Elena - both from Friuli, a region in Northeast Italy where tradition, beauty, and craftsmanship are woven into everyday life.
Though we met here in New York, we share a deep connection to the culture we grew up with - one that celebrates quality over quantity, and style that speaks quietly but lasts forever.
With roots in Italian tradition and a shared passion for style, we’ve created a brand that reflects both where we come from and where we are now. Each piece is thoughtfully made, meant to feel personal, expressive, and timeless—like your favorite moments, or your favorite shoes.
This is our way of sharing our heritage, our taste, and our version of the American dream - one pair at a time.
